Bitten by a radioactive spider and granted incredible spider-powers, Gwen Stacy is the Spider-Woman, and she protects the streets of New York while battling lizard men, lawyers and the spider-hunting Inheritors. Wanted by the NYPD in connection with the death of Peter Parker, but protected by her policeman father, Gwen forgets her spider-troubles by playing drums in a rock band, the Mary Janes.
